What a Mother's Day gift! Noah took his first steps yesterday (5/10/2010), as the final crown on a wonderful Mother's Day weekend. Romain and I were thrilled and the little guy is so proud. Crawling (or driving in one of his cars) is still his preferred mode of travel but walking is quite the novelty. (Who knows what could be next... juggling? unicycle?)
What fun and what a privilege to discover the world by his side. Everything is new. Everything is meant to be tasted, dropped, examined... Noah, the baby, is quickly becoming Noah, the person.
Besides walking, he's also started to repeat words. My favorite is when he sings DOCTOR -- which sounds more like "Doc-tah" -- from the backseat of the car to accompany Mommy on Lime in the Coconut: "DOC-TAH, is there nothing I can take, I said DOC-TAH, to relieve this belly ache..."
I could go on and on but it all comes down to one thing: Parenthood rocks.

Bravo à Noah qui voulait faire une surprise pour la fête des mères.
Surtout qu'il continue ainsi et ne pas l'habitude de ne traverser sa chambre qu'en voiture!!
